Don’t Waste Your Work

  • DON’T WASTE YOUR WORK - Pastor Dean Deguara

    Ecclesiastes 1:3

You spend your life working, laboring, and what do you have to show for it?

    OUR WORK MATTERS TO GOD

    Ephesians 2:10

We are His work. He has made us to belong to Christ Jesus so we can work for Him. He planned that we should do this. - NLV

God’s Placed You Where You Work to Develop You.

Work is the place where God most often chooses to work on us to prepare us for what He has planned for us!

    Proverbs 16:3

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

    Work:

    deed, work, Labor

    Pursuit of Business

Undertaking of enterprise such as a business or company

    A product being made, Product

    Plans:

    Thought, idea

    Device, plan, purpose

    Invention

1 in 4 entrepreneurs fail at least once before succeeding.

“I have not failed 10,000 times—I've successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.” - Thomas Edison

    Psalm 105:19

“Until the time came to fulfill his word, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.”

We have to differentiate process from purpose.

God Placed You Where You Work to Put Your Life on Display

    Matthew 5:14-16

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

    Work:

business, employment, that which any one is occupied

that which one undertakes to do, enterprise, undertaking

any product whatever, any thing accomplished by hand, art, industry

Colossians 3:23  Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

    1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

11 Do all you can to live a peaceful life. Take care of your own business, and do your own work as we have already told you. 12 If you do, then people who are not believers will respect you, and you will not have to depend on others for what you need.

    2 Corinthians 6:4

“Our work as God’s servants gets validated – or not – in the details.”

God expects us to use our work to validate our message.

    Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Good works and Good will always lead us to opportunities to share the Good news!

God Placed You Where You Work for the Destiny of Other People

    Acts 20:35

“I’ve been a constant example of how you can help the poor by working hard and remembering the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

    Proverbs 11:25

“A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”

    Deuteronomy 8:18

“Always remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the ability to create wealth.”

The higher purpose of charity is introducing people to eternity!

    Matthew 6:20

Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.

God builds your wealth, so you can build the Kingdom.

  • (00:02) foreign [Music] God's will at work if that's possible a lot of us think that work is a curse but have you know Jesus came to reverse the curse right he has purpose for you at work we ask the question what is the why behind my work have you ever wondered that maybe you felt like you were at a dead end job and you're like God why do you have me here well I believe he wants to answer that question not only for me but for you and the other question is how can I find God's will at work how can I connect my

(01:06) job with Jesus you see if we're going to spend an average of 13 years and two months working how many know it's important for us to understand how work can become a reflection of worship to God and stewarding the resources that God has given us in this world for the common good everybody say work it so God listen God has planted in this earth listen resources that he wants us to work it out come on to bless all Humanity as image bearers we talked about this last week listen we are to Bear the image of God in the workplace

(01:45) but also we are there to see the broken image restored in people in people's lives what what's going to be the outcome then of that 13 years and two months for you Ecclesiastes 1 3 last week we uh proposed another question this week King Solomon proposes another one he says you spend your life working laboring and what do you have to show for it in order to answer these questions we have to understand what we talked about last week our work matters to God come on tell your neighbor our work matters to God

(02:32) our work matters to God he's interested in your work he's invested in your work he's inspired by your work Ephesians 2 10 says you are his work how you know you're a piece of work no I'm just playing we are his work he has made us Ephesians 2 to belong to Christ Jesus so we can work for him he planned that we should do this another translation says that this we we are his work created in Christ Jesus for good works everybody say Good Works which God prepared in advance that we should do them you see God has created

(03:21) each and every one of us uniquely with gifts and talents to live a productive life that sees our needs being provided for how we know he can meet your need according to his riches and Glory he does that through our work but above and beyond just bringing home a paycheck how many know God wants you to tap into come on greater meaning and purpose on the job have you ever wondered God why do you have me working here I believe that he wants to reveal to that through this series you see when we have a revelation

(03:58) that God can take your dead end job and use it come on as a launching pad to your destiny how many know we'll go places in him so let's continue to answer that question again I'm laying a foundation for the next couple of weeks last week and this week if you didn't see last week go watch the Youtube Youtube and RLC Sac TV but we're late we're finishing the foundation today of God at work and the first is this God has placed you where you work to develop you God has placed you where you work to

(04:34) develop you you see oftentimes God will use work to develop your character and competency does anybody ever deal with difficult people at work honest people raising their hand anybody deal with difficult situations circumstances at work anybody ever feel overwhelmed come on by that person you got to deal with tomorrow come on that that certain situation that circumstance it seems ongoing listen when you connect your work with God you'll begin to understand that God wants to use people and those difficult circumstances to

(05:15) develop something in you come on that will bring glory to God through your word he wants to bring competency that I've worked jobs where I've trained on software I would have never had access to if I wasn't working at a particular job or had an opportunity to do a workshop I was able to expand my competency he'll use your work to create culture how many know if you're born again come on you're born from a different culture and so your life is not just a therm a thermometer it's a thermostat and so the way you

(05:53) create culture is you have a different attitude about work and when you have a different attitude about work how many know you can shift the atmosphere listen when you have a different attitude listen that you're not working for man but you're working for God how many know with that attitude come on that whole atmosphere can shift in the break room come on at lunch wherever you're at God can shift the atmosphere he can expect he can bring you onto a team to add chemistry it can serve as the Catalyst to take a business from

(06:29) here to there because you're the missing piece and God needs to release your gifts and talents on the job he'll use it to expand your leadership capacity or your influence or to enhance your connections many jobs that I've have have connected me with people over the years that I'm still connected with today you see work is the place where I believe God most often chooses to work on us to prepare us for what he has planned for us how many know if we're going to spend 90 000 hours of our life

(07:06) at work we should allow God to do something in us and through us Proverbs 16 3 says commit your work to the Lord commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established that word that word work there in the original language means labor have you ever had the labor before some of you labor 40 hours per week it means the pursuit of business how you know if you're a business owner in here sometimes that requires an extra commitment a lot of times you never get to leave work come on work goes home with you

(07:51) or maybe you're the word right here also means undertaking or leading a business or company you may be a c-suite executive and you need to be praying God whatever my hand touches I pray God that it prospers have me know if whatever your hand touches prospers come on the business prospers too a product being made this word means maybe you're an entrepreneur with a business idea and you're saying what do I do with this and King Solomon is telling us commit it to the Lord or maybe you have a product an invention we

(08:27) have some inventors here in the church Doug Dunn Road was in first service he has actually invented a little thing A golf thing that helps you it doesn't help my golf but he's invented this thing that like if you swing it right it clicks and he's selling this thing on Amazon listen King Solomon is saying listen commit your labor commit your pursuit of business commit leading a business or company commit that product that idea that invention committed to the Lord and your plans will be established the question for us is this

(09:03) am I going to commit or am I gonna quit am I going to commit or am I going to quit you see it's really difficult to commit your work to the Lord when you're always trying to figure out how can I quit Lord you see the easy thing to do is just quit and walk away in fact one in four entrepreneurs fail at least once before they succeed but how many of us listen have failed once and we just stopped you see it takes entrepreneurs an average of three years for their business to begin supporting them financially and a lot of times I think

(09:42) we have unrealistic expectation of ourselves because how many know we don't want to wait three years we want it in three days so it's not surprising that 36 percent of entrepreneurs say that they had considered quitting before their business took off come on tell your neighbor I'm normal in response to a question about his missteps Thomas Edison the famous inventor he once said I have not failed ten thousand times I've successful successfully found 10 000 ways that will not work come on in fact I believe to be be productive

(10:23) with your life it's necessary that we change our perspective on failure that we change our perspective on difficulty that we change our perspective on um delays anybody ever experienced a delay before or detours in fact there's a book that Josiah actually hands to uh to all the players that get a seasoned injury by Dr Tony Evans It's called detours and that book actually shifted Josiah's perspective he was asking God God why did my season have to end like this why did I have to go through this

(10:59) and he read that book by Dr Tony Evans and it changed his perspective because he understands now that God used the detour to develop in his life something that was not there and so now he hands this book he'll send this book to players all over in fact this this week or just was that yesterday we talked to Josiah and he gave us a praise he said Mom and Dad I started my Bible study on Monday and 10 players showed up come on somebody and we're praying the bears go down today Hallelujah I don't see no bear Jersey but I'm good

(11:46) there's a great example in the Book of Genesis last 10 chapters or so about a man named Joseph Joseph had a dream when he was 17 years old that he prematurely shared with his brothers and it really ticked him off it took them off so bad that they wanted to get rid of their brother Joseph they actually plotted to kill him in one of the brothers intervened he said no we can't kill him so they ended up throwing him in a pit and lying to their father about his death and they actually sold him in to slavery for 40 years Joseph spent his

(12:23) life as a slave working working for potiphar working for pharaoh and much of that time he actually spent working in prison how we know that's difficult but how many know he found the Bible says he found favor I'm just I'm just declaring you today I'm releasing over you today for every difficult person you're dealing with for every difficult circumstance or situation that's coming your way I release the favor of God over your life to deal with every situation that was the testing ground

(13:04) being falsely accused you ever been falsely accused before did I tell you the time I got fired I got fired before the bad thing was my dad was the one who hired me my dad hired me at his warehouse and they sent me to another Warehouse in Tracy and we were moving olive oil two pallets stacked olive oil and I was driving a forklift and we had this little system it was a little circle and so we'd pull in we'd pick up and we were moving the olive oil on the other side of the warehouse and this guy that was

(13:40) in front of me he picked it up backed out like we're supposed to I picked up the palette backed out like was supposed to well he tried to beat me coming back so he didn't have to go all the way around and when he did he said watch out and when I did I put on the brakes and that olive oil went like this and shattered all over the ground he took off and it looked like I just had wrecked that guy came the manager came he said what are you smiling about I said I'm not smiling sir he said you're fired I said I'm gonna go

(14:14) talk to my dad no that it didn't work I still got fired anyway God will use come on unfair circumstances to develop something in you that doesn't exist in your life during that entire time God was developing Joseph for the dream that he had when he was 17. Psalm 105 verse 19 says until the time came to fulfill his word the Lord tested Joseph's character you ever think God when is this gonna end God when is this gonna stop how we know God is working something in you come on he's working he who began a

(15:02) good work in you will be faithful to complete it how many know he'll be done when he's done you see God used hard work to prepare prepare promote and place Joseph to see the Fulfillment of God's word over his life and God's dream over his life and put him in a position to not only save a nation but to reconcile his own family you see your workplace is a life course in developing you for the plans that God has for you you see some of you you feel like you're in that dead-end job you feel like listen you're doing

(15:39) unfulfilling work where you don't experience any type of satisfaction you can't answer the question why does this matter you can't even figure out why it matters you feel like you're wasting your life at work because you can't see where it's taken you so what do you do some of us have to differentiate process come on from purpose you see we fall in love with God's promise we fall in love come on with God's purpose we get excited about the promises of God come on and the purposes

(16:15) of God but don't you dare talk about the process that goes with it the pit that Joseph was in the Potter Potiphar's house where he was falsely excused Accused by Potiphar's wife prison they were not God's plan for Joseph they were part of the process of being in those places those situations and circumstances that prepared him for his life's purpose in the palace listen You'll never get to God's promise without his process you'll never find your purpose come on without his process

(16:54) and some of you you're in the middle of process and you're saying God where's your promise and he's developing you for it you know if God released everything that was that you desire in your heart come on it would overwhelm you that's what happened with Joseph he prematurely shared his dreams some of you listen you are you're so discouraged because the dream that you have in your heart isn't happening right now but if God released that dream to you it actually overwhelm you and it actually

(17:26) you your life would probably implode because you're not ready to handle all that it's going to bring and listen listen God wants to prepare you with this process so that listen when that promise is released when the purpose is released come on you'll be able to sustain it come on with the life that you live we've seen we see I'll just give you a practical example we've seen 17 salvations last Sunday come on that's amazing we've seen three salvations in first service but listen we get excited about

(17:58) decisions but as a pastor I'm like okay how many people took that next step from the decision from raising their hands and praying the prayer and took that next step and said you know what I'm going to become a disciple and so we only had out of the 17 that raised their hand we only had three people that actually said I'm going to take that next step how do you know if you won't take that step here you'll never take that step anywhere and so I'm I've worked I called John I talked to Taylor

(18:26) I said hey how can we build a better Bridge from the decision to disciple because how many know if God's going to release to us tens and hundreds and thousands of people which I believe he that is going to get saved not just on a Sunday but listen it might be at your workplace you might lead a friend of the Lord and bring him to church but how many you know listen we've got to do a better job of getting them from the decision to being coming disciples listen but we're not ready yet so we're

(18:57) building that bridge we're saying God what can we do how can we do it so this this last service because we've been working on it all week we had three hands raised we had two out of three come on come and say I'm gonna take that next step you see many of us fight the process because we don't want to do the Prep Prep work so while you're working on the job can I encourage you God is working on you while you're working on the job God is working on you God has placed you where you work to develop you

(19:38) 90 000 Hours come on of work come on 13 years and two months of your life is an opportunity for God to do something in you and through your life secondly God placed you where you work to put your life on display Matthew chapter 5 verses 14 16 you are the light of the world a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house to all who are in the office come on to all who are on the on the campus to all who are in the high-rise building

(20:18) downtown nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lamp stand and it gives light to all who are in the house let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven that phrase good works and and in the context that I've always heard it preached always people uh the pastors and the preachers that I've heard always referred to those good works is what happens inside the church that they'll see us serving come on they will see and how many know that's

(20:53) important but the word when you dig down into the original good works means good business good employment come on good Enterprise come on good uh creation of products whatever you put your hand to so what am I trying to say I'm trying to say this when I approach my work as worship the way I conduct myself while at work becomes a witness of who I ultimately work for can I say that again when I approach my work as worship the way I conduct myself while at work the way I do my work becomes a witness of who I ultimately

(21:38) work for this is what Paul was talking about in Colossians 3 23 he said work willingly at whatever you do as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people anybody have come on anybody have a tough boss that you're working for a tough supervisor that you're working for listen you're not working for them well you are But ultimately listen if you want to change your attitude you're not working for them you're working for him there's something about the quality of what you do and how you do it that can

(22:17) speak so much louder than your words there's something about the quality of your work that can actually open up doors of opportunity for you to tell your story or share your faith God can do amazing things with your as we talked about last week Romans 12 1 with your everyday ordinary going to work life through the combination of good work and a good witness come on first Thessalonians 4 11-12 do all you can to live a peaceful life do all you can how you know that easily could say this when we in the context of work it'd say

(22:57) do all you can come on to not live a stressful life take care of your own business and do your own work as we have already told you if you do then people who are not Believers will respect you and will not have to depend on others for what you need in second Corinthians chapter 6 verse 4 Paul said this our work everybody say work as God's servants gets validated or not in the details in other words God expects us to use our work come on to validate his message people are watching us no people are watching us

(23:47) how we work how we respond to people situations at work they want to know if your faith is real to be honest with you and when our work is worship again remember that transition listen your work is worship again I told you last week just like we come in here and we expect when we gather together come on we expect God's presence how we know tomorrow morning come on it might just be you but you can expect God's presence to be there when you show up you can welcome him it's an awareness it's a mind shift hey God my work is

(24:21) worship I want to bring glory to you today it might not matter to anybody else but it matters to me you see you may be in a workplace where you can't share your faith openly with people I'm not telling you to stand up on your desk and start preaching the gospel that's not what I'm saying but you can at least not in words but you can in the way that you do your work you see as people see who you are when they see your character reflected in your work then they'll start asking you hey what's different about you

(24:59) you work you you show up on time you only take 10 minute breaks come on you're always on time always early never late something's different you never complain something's different about you you see your workplace may be a dark place but how many know God is not surprised he's not surprised again verse 16 let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven that's why God puts you there the light always shines brightest when it is displayed in the darkest room

(25:40) I was talking to a gentleman not too long ago he said ma'am I work so difficult he works in construction he says man every time I get around the other guys man all they want to do is cuss so I said don't cuss just be different right you don't have to participate come on you could come on you could just throw up your hands and say hallelujah they'll really think you're weird then right How about if sharing your faith wasn't just about what you said but actually what you decided not to say

(26:18) I was at Chick-fil-A waiting on my four chicken strip meal and some macaroni and cheese that's my favorite there and I was waiting there and a Gentleman had walked up to the couch how many know Chick-fil-A they specialize in nice my pleasure right I mean they they bring you you wanna you wanna they don't even call it a refill they call it a refresh right I mean like hey you don't get a normal refill here you get a refresh hey so they they take that I mean they're they're so these people are trained to

(26:50) be so nice I've never seen an argument I've never for whatever reason kids walk in there and they behave I mean it is it's nuts I mean it's like heaven on Earth Chick-fil-A I mean and this gentleman walks up to the counter and and something was wrong with his sandwich and the employee was just doing their job he was just sir oh so sorry about that can I get your receipt because he wanted to correct things and I don't know what I I don't know what happened but when he said can I get your receipt something shifted in the

(27:23) guy who was bringing up his sandwich that they had gotten wrong he said receipt and he picked up the sandwich and he turned around and he threw it against the glass window and it slid down and hit the ground and I was like oh my gosh this is Chick-fil-A I can't believe this is happening and then he said I'm a pastor did I say there were some things you shouldn't say and I was like no he didn't say that he don't go to my church he does not go to mine Church How about if it wasn't about see he

(28:15) didn't even know I was a pastor number one can somebody please tell that Pastor come on that he does not own Chick-fil-A all right How about if it wasn't about what you did it's about what you didn't do let your life speak for example we have a businessman in our church he travels he's a very successful salesperson in the company that he works for and he says Pastor Dean he said when I go on a business trip after after work a lot of the guys will go out to happy hour and again nothing nothing bad about

(28:54) happy are there some good come on you get some good ribs and good deals at happy hour but he said listen he said I don't need to go to happy hour because I'm already happy because I already have job satisfaction already have joy I protect my Integrity because I know there's a lot of things that go on it that that happy hour will lead to that will lead to an unhappy life and so I protect my Integrity so when I heard that I had to do some research on happy hour by the way it's it if you own a restaurant or something

(29:26) it's something good it helps create business and things like that but it was created with kind of this mindset you made it through the day you made it through your miserable job come on you earned it time to treat yourself to something happy you know what I've learned over the years happy hour can't make you happy in fact they say that average happy hour is three hours it takes you three hours come on to recover from your eight-hour job it in fact many people go to happy hour and I believe it's more than an hour now again average

(30:14) is three hours at a happy hour because they're not only happy at work they're not happy at home they're not only not happy at home they're not happy with their life and so they're trying to find happiness in something that can't provide it for them you see God works good works and good will like my brother who's successful and sells good works and good will always lead us to opportunities to share the good news you know what he told me he told me because he has this law this stance of Integrity that is he said he's

(30:50) not he's a supervisor he oversees a big team he says team members will come to him now and say will you pray for me I'm struggling in my marriage I'm struggling I don't know I I and they'll come to him and say will you pray for me good works and good will always leads us to opportunities to share the good news good works the way I work the way I do business the way I handle my employees and resources matters to God Goodwill the way I talk to people interact with people and treat people matters to God

(31:23) always always when we do those things good works and good Wills that will always lead us to sharing the good news brother came up to me after first service he said man he said he works in a really really tough environment he said somebody came up to him he said man I need some advice he's a new believer he said I need some advice he said should I get a divorce or not how we know God just opened that door for our brother to just speak right on and he spoke life he said the next day the guy called him and said listen not only did he call me

(31:59) he said he told him on the phone he said my my little boy when I got he said Dad can we go to church how we know God's moving God's moving he'll move in your life listen I'm praying when people see come on your life on the job they'll see the Life of Christ in you you see God placed you where you work to put your life on display and lastly God placed you where you were for the destiny of other people to develop you to display you and for the destiny of other people Acts 20 verse 35 I've

(32:41) been a constant example of how you can help the poor by working hard and remembering the words of the Lord Jesus it is more blessed to give than to receive what does it look like to work for the destiny of other people before we answer that question just remember the foundation that we've been laying here in this series I work to be productive I work to provide for my needs and my family needs I work with a greater meaning and purpose for my life I work to develop my life and my leadership I work to put my life on display so others

(33:20) will glorify the God I serve you see when I'm experiencing God's will for work in my life there's another category and it's this it's to work for the destiny of other people I work to help others come on I work in order to help other people in need who have a little less than I do I'm so proud of this church last night I was at real life uh in Fairfield and Mike and Renee tadlock were celebrating 25 years they used to be a campus of this church and they were celebrating 25 years and it came up that

(33:57) our church alone supports and sponsors a hundred kids and just in Zambia alone that doesn't include the orphanage that we started where we sponsored this last year I believe 92 kids I work in order to help other people in need who have a little less than I do I love when people talk about the generosity of Real Life Church maybe you're retired I was talking you're going to hear her testimony in a few few weeks I'm not going to tell you who it is I'm going to let I'm gonna surprise you I was meeting with her this

(34:33) week and she was telling me about life her life after retirement and I said retirement she said uh she said it's not retirement she said it it's refreshment she said I'm in my refreshment years Proverbs 11 25 says a generous man will prosper he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed you see if you want God's blessing on your work on your business on your career on your vocation listen you are going to have to learn generosity and I'm not just talking about money I'm talking about your time come on your

(35:12) talent and your treasure not just at church but where God has placed you and I'm just going to tell you from personal experience you cannot out give God come on I try to do it here in real life all the time it doesn't work come on God always come on blesses us more than we give the more generous you are the more God pours his Blessing out on you God is a generous God for God so loved the world that he gave come on everything I have in life that you and I have in life is because God is a generous God I want my kids God says to learn how to

(35:54) be generous you can't out give him the more you give to God the more blessing he pours on your life I have a friend his name is Bob it's his real name I'm not going to say his last name doesn't go to this church actually moved out of state but before I met Bob I never really met someone who embodied generosity the way he and his wife did they showed up at our church the church that we were on staff at for about eight years they showed up just asking how can we give not just financially but how can

(36:29) we give of our time how can we give of our talent Bob could have easily retired he was a high up executive still is to this day for a very successful company he had a beautiful home he drove nice cars he took luxurious vacations in fact he would actually take one staff member a year on him and his wife would take one staff member a year on vacation with them I like Bob took Amy and I on a vacation one year but he worked for the destiny of others he didn't have to work but he wanted to advance God's work he

(37:11) was what I call an extravagant Giver he lived to give Bob had all the bells the whistles the toys but here was the key the toys didn't have Bob you see our pastor had a vision to help kids be prepared for the first day of school and Bob helped us go and go from 100 serving 150 kids to over a thousand kids through his generosity at that point in my life I'd never seen anyone give their stock give their stock in a company away for Kingdom purposes and Bob did just that he helped set up the church so he could give his stock to the

(37:51) kingdom of God Bob lived out what Andrew Carnegie used to say do your giving while you're living so you knowing where it's going come on Deuteronomy 8 18 says this always remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the ability to create wealth and I close with this Bob demonstrated that work can be used to advance God's work and that's what God wants to do with your job I don't care how joyless it is at the moment God wants you to connect with him so he can connect you to his purpose and

(38:29) to his plan to what you put your hands to listen don't spend your entire life not knowing listen God's purpose and intention for you at the workplace he has you at right now you see just like Bob listen we need an eternal perspective which is this I use my career as a catalyst to build God's kingdom it's the higher purpose of Charity and that is introducing people to Eternity in fact this week we've got about 10 people my wife is going with a group to Zambia this week come on we've got Amy we've got Jerry we've got Denise

(39:11) we've got Tracy we've got Jennifer Desiree David Fausto Sam and Cassie are already there getting ready for the team to come but listen this is a a prime example people are are taking time off of work come on to do God's work it's an amazing thing if you're here and I called your name can you stand babe can you stand is there anybody else going to Zambia this week anybody else yes Fausto babe can you stand up can you guys just stretch out your hands real quick I want to pray for them Father we

(39:41) just thank you for Kingdom Builders God taking time out of their business out of their busy lives to go and do your purposes Lord we send them forth God we ask for a hand of protection upon them God and I pray that they would have that confidence and know that their church is praying for them Lord we pray for divine appointments Lord as they minister to the children as they administer to the leaders at operation I dream God we pray you do above and beyond all that they could ask or think in Jesus name and everybody said amen any man can we give

(40:16) God praise this morning I close with this listen don't just be a wealth Builder be a kingdom Builder listen God wants to give you more than money he wants to give you meaning and money amen meaning and money and today maybe that meaning part is absent from your work maybe that Joy part is absent from your word maybe you're not connected with your creator this morning and you don't really understand the why you're not being developed you just feel like this purposelessness about your life because you don't have a relationship

(40:57) with Jesus Christ and I believe God wants to change that today with every head bowed and every eye closed you just say Pastor Dean I need to connect with my Creator about my work and the plans that he has for me is that anybody in the building we had three people in first service anybody in the building you say Pastor Dean I'd just like to pray and connect with my creators or anybody I'm going to just wait just a couple more seconds I just want to challenge you if that's you just raise your hand I'm not going to

(41:25) embarrass you I'm going to pray with you is there anybody anybody in the building God bless you I see your hand thank you thank you thank you two people right there anybody else thank you we got another three come on how we know that's six Hallelujah six people all day listen I want us to pray it says if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord come on he'll come into your heart let's pray this together one two three those who raise your hand one two three Jesus I believe you are the Son of God that you

(41:58) died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the father I choose Now to turn from my sins my self-centeredness and every part of my life that does not please you I choose you I give myself to you I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as My Savior and Lord restore me live in me and through me in Jesus name amen can we give these three folks that raise their hand I'm gonna take my time we're almost done here but listen if you were one of those

(42:36) three people that raise their hands we have a packet for you that says I have decided we want to get you on your next steps put something in your hand that you could take home today and start taking those next steps in your walk with Jesus you're going to see John right back here wave your hand John at the I decided Banner we'll get your information and we'll get you into the foundations class and get you on your new walk with God will you stand with me today I'm going to ask our prayer ministers to come listen there
